Hier istder Auftritt der Band aus dem Film "School Of Rock" in HQ

''School of Rock'' is the first mainstream comedy directed by Mr. Linklater (''Waking Life,'' ''Before Sunrise''), who demonstrates an unerring sense of where to draw the line. Had it become any cuter, this film might have turned into a squishy clone of ''The Bad News Bears.'' Had it been any smarter, it might have seemed too esoteric for a mass audience. (Its encyclopedic knowledge of rock lineage is the only overtly scholarly thing about it.) Were it any raunchier, it would have risked losing its family-friendly PG-13 rating. (The fifth graders may wear spiky postpunk hairstyles, but they are not plunged, or even tempted to plunge, into a netherworld of drugs and sex.)

School of Rock is uncut bliss.

Black's exuberant, gleeful performance turns School of Rock into a hilarious, rocking good time.

Mentions Mike White's role as writer for "School of Rock"

''School of Rock'' doesn't try to convince us that any of this is real or even remotely possible. A shaggy loudmouth like Dewey could never talk his way into a substitute teaching job. The molding of a fifth-grade class into a well-oiled rock machine in a few weeks is also inconceivable, as is the notion that it could be done in secret under the principal's nose.

"School of Rock" Movie Review - Essay Depot

Good: If you want a funny, touching, precious, sometimes irreverent movie to enjoy with your mature pre-teen and young teenager crowd this movie might be it. After kids see this movie, band class will never be interesting again! Music class will look boring! This is the kind of story kids will watch and want to imitate - and that's in a good way when it comes to playing an instrument. Besides Black, the cast of talented kids are what makes this movie funny, touching and thoroughly entertaining. Aydos Jr., Clark, Brown, Tsai, Hassan, Allen, Hale and Falduto are perfect side kicks for Black and his eccentric brand of humor. He seems to effortlessly take on the role of a rock & roll Svengali to the young apprentices. There are a few things that he does that I wish he would have left out like; his wild man act, discussions about drinking with the kids and using some crude and bad language. But he also teaches the kids something about themselves and how they can overcome the obstacles others lay on them and achieve whatever they want to achieve. Even though the movie has some crude moments, I think the overall message is what kids and teens who see this movie, will walk away with. It's hard to find fault with a story that promotes kids going to school, learning to play an instrument, learning the history of music and getting a nostalgic glimpse into the world of music their parents grew up on. C'mon mom and dad -- some of you used to listen to that "wild" rock & roll music yourselves!

Richard Linklater's cult hard-rock comedy hits the right notes and plays louder than anything i've ever heard. Jack Black was the perfect symbolism of old-school rock 'n' roll to shed into the new age of musicianship. The dialogue was brilliant, songs were strong and script was fantastic. Encore! 5/5
