Essays on erin brockovich movie Final Paper Erin Brockovich

We understand that Pacific Gas & Electric has polluted ground water and is apparently responsible for death and disease, but it never emerges as much of a villain, and in the pallid confrontations with its attorneys, there's none of the juice that Robert Duvall's company attorney brought to "A Civil Action." Director has blown a great opportunity to make the movie that the real Erin Brockovich calls for. Susannah Grant's by-the-numbers screenplay sees the characters as markers on a storyboard rather than flesh-and-blood humans. Scenes with members of the suffering families genuflect in the direction of pathos, but are cut and dried. It doesn't feel like we're seeing Erin Brockovich share the pain, but like we're seeing Julia Roberts paying a house call (again, we remember the power of "A Civil Action").

Erin Brockovich directed by Barry Sorenson. Specifically it will discuss technological systems and ethics throughout the film, and their implications for society. Erin Brockovich is a disturbing drama about ethics and ethical issues in society. It clearly illustrates how these issues can break down society if it allows them to. What is more disturbing is the issues in the film were essentially true and did occur. Ethics in America and American business is still a contentious issue today, and you cannot trust big business to always do what is right for the people, as this film shows. This film ties in closely with the violations so many businesses and business leaders have used in the past to line their own pockets while systematically destroying their companies. These violations were ethically and morally wrong, but greed became more important than common sense and common decency. Ethically, it seems people are easily……

This movie showed a few aspects covered in chapters 3 & 4. Service of process was carried out as PG&E was given a summons and presented the initial complaint regarding the real estate civil suit. It was then upgraded by the medical findings. Pretrial existed in the process of the discovery and conferences that were held. This was a civil trial and the number of complainants, was increased to 411. Chapter 4 brought up the explanation of the Alternative dispute resolution.
